NCAAB Preview 2008-09

College Basketball season is nearly upon us and that means it is time to give you all the information you need to be ready for the season.

Top 5
1. North Carolina Tarheels
These guys are everyone's #1 and why not. With Tyler Hansbrough back along with Ty Lawson, and Wayne Ellington this is clearly the team to beat. Will they win the national championship? I am not sold just yet.

2. Louisville Cardinals
Rick Pitino's squad headlines a stacked B! ig East. Louisville was knocked out of last year's tourney by UNC and I think this loss is sticking with them. These guys are hungry.

3. Uconn Huskies
Get used to it, another Big East team. Uconn returns A.J. Price, Jeff Adrien, Hasheem Thabeet, and company. The Huskies should be there in the end.

4. Pittsburgh Panthers
This team was expected to be a big contender last year until the injuries set in. Pitt is healthy now including star G Levance Fields. Pitt is the third Big East team in the Top 5.

5. Texas Longhorns
When A.J. Abrams decided to stay in school and forgo the NBA Draft, I knew Texas would be a serious title contender this season. This team should be the class of the Big 12.

Under the Radar
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
You are probably thinking how can a Top 10 team be under the radar, but when you play in the Big East this season it is easy to be ove! rlooked. Luke Harangody and Tory Jackson are back and ready t! o lead t he Irish on a championship run.

Davidson Wildcats
Stephen Curry became an icon in last year's NCAA Tourney and he is back for more. Davidson is a team to be reckoned with. It will be interesting to see how they respond to a lot more national coverage.
