The top men and woman seeds in the French Open are through to the quarterfinals. Rafael Nadal beat fellow Spaniard Fernando Verdasco 6-1, 6-0, 6-2 only dropping three games. Nadal has never been beaten at Roland Garros and will meet Nicolas Almagro in the quater-finals. A win in this match will get him a semi-final spot, if he gets into the finals and wins he will join Sweden's Bjorn Borg in winning four French Open titles in a row. Hot on his Nadals heels, third seed Novak Djokovic beat Paul-Henry Mathieu 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 to book his place in the quaters-finals.
Ana Invanovic made easy work of her match with Petra Cetkovska which she won 6-0, 6-0. Ivanovic who was runner up at the tournament last year will be looking to go all the way this year and with her performances so far, she could just have the trophy at the end
